Kickboxing
The kickboxing sessions are a great way to get in shape and get rid of the stresses of modern life. Based on western boxing and Muay Thai techniques this programme is simple in concept and a great self defence style to boot.
Our sessions are geared toward training for fitness and for skill so that you are prepared for semi-contact competition, the kickboxing ring is a great way to test your skill and stamina in attack and defence.
Our style is BKBU kick-boxing which involves the use of the hands and feet (but not the knees or elbows) in an attempt to beat your opponent, either by scoring more points. For semi contact competition, boxing gloves, mouth shields, shin guards and boots are all required.
Quarterstaff & Weapons
This 30 minute weapons and quarterstaff session is the link between striking of kickboxing and the unarmed combat of Spirit Combat giving us the third distance in a self defence situation: weapons. Very popular with our kick boxers who use this to perfect body and for positioning.
Aiki JuJitsu
Our Aiki Jujitsu session is a stand up ju jitsu based martial arts form. The training consists of learning groups of techniques in pair format. Training develops into a close quarter combat system that is used by military and law enforcement the world over.
